Ronn Easton

Raised  by his grandmother, who taught him to ‘Do the Right thing,’ Ronn Easton left the segregated South at age 14 for Cleveland, graduating from Shaw High School in 1968.  After two friends were killed in Vietnam, he left college and enlisted in the U.S. Army in the same year serving as an armorer with the 5th Battalion 42nd Artillery Regiment in Vietnam before an honorable discharge in 1972. Ronn later settled in Minnesota, spending over 20years as a ‘Disease Investigator with the Minnesota Department of Health, working to reduce STDs and HIV while also performing as a professional entertainer for more than four decades.
